Episode 4: The Lalah Hathaway Conversation

Lalah Hathaway; photo by Jonathan MannionBrand New Grammy Winner Lalah Hathaway is probably the most singular voice of her generation. She’s also an incredible musician who will sing a chord at will and slay you. Deservedly she’s also been nominated (thankfully WON this year) for multiple Grammies. Mowo! was lucky enough to sit down with her and have a nice chat ranging through many topics. The one major thought that was left with Mowo! after this conversation is that Lalah should eventually host some sort of Late Night Talk show. They also spoke a little bit about their fathers having worked together on a couple of classic recordings. CLICK THE LINK BELOW TO HEAR THIS EPISODE.

What a splendid, rich voice. Ms. Hathaway is one of the precious few artists whose recordings, after you experience a live performance, don’t prove to be some studio engineer’s science project…and it was an honor (and a bit of a geek moment) to meet her…I wonder if a book is in the works?
